The project involved the full house refurbishment and remodelling of the exterior plus contemporary rear extension. The design focused on providing natural light and maximising views and integration of the house with the extensive garden. This was achieved with large sliding doors providing a panoramic opening on to the terrace, the curved zinc roof overselling above. The client’s brief also included the development of an existing outbuilding set mid-way down the garden. This has been converted from unused space into habitable accommodation, providing a two bedroom annexe to the main house that can be used as guest accommodation or as a summer garden building.
